CPS Energy in San Antonio wanted to set an example for their customers by installing an energy efficient VRV system in their new facility. DXS was chosen as basis of design based on their reputation for VRV knowledge, and equipped the new 25,000 square-foot building with 64 tons of Daikin VRV IV Heat Recovery. The system also included an Addison split Outside Air Unit, a mixture of ducted and cassette indoor units, and an iTouch Manager for centralized control.

As a utilities company, CPS energy aimed to incentivize technology that sheds peak load demand and performs efficiently. DXS helped CPS achieve their efficiency goals with a LEED certified building while maintaining occupant comfort at a reasonable cost.
